BTW, when you attempted to use the sysroot suggestions and hit the errors about missing headers here: http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35532#c7 those are the same types of errors one sees when not using --with-newlib, because inhibit_libc wasn't defined when building libgcc2.
