Hi Guys,
I finally have my sound up and running. Many thanks to Ken Moffat and
others who helped me along the way. Now I'm working on being able to
play CDs and DVDs. I installed totem with no issues but when I tried to
play some files I have I get the message that I don't have decoders
installed. I started looking through the book for decoders and found the
libmpeg2 package. During the compile I got the following assembler
errors. First, this is a pure 64 AMD64 platform. Do we have a fix for
this? Second, am I on the right track as far as decoders go? I'd like to
be able to play all varieties of CDs and DVDs as well as movie and sound
files. What do I need for totem to play them? As always thanks for your
help.
