I think Muth's prediction here is correct - but then he fails to trouble shoot *why* the GOP fails If the LP follows his prescriptions (And, as a political party, they'd be idiots not to) They'll turn into republicans lite and, if successful, eventually they'd stop being very lite. It's like, when a machine blows a fuse, just throwing a new fuse in there without asking why the fuse was blown in the first place It's just going to happen again. Power corrupts. Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely. The "Current" of power flowing the modern American ruling establish is such that no "fuse" of principles and ethics are going to last long This is why the GOP will never shrink the government. (Actually there are other reasons, too) But the fact of the matter is that they are hooked on the power and money like a junkie on his heroin. So is the Democratic Party. And if the LP gets the power, they'll get hooked, too.
