Subject: libretto 100

Hi All,

I've just got myself a libretto 100 and a beauty it is!

Being a nice machine as is, I still have some questions I hope you
all can help me with.

1) I want to replace the 2.1GB Harddisk with a bigger one. I heard that the
bios
is only capable of 8.4GB? Whats the best way to overcome this limit and will
it
still allow me to hibernate?

2) Since I don't have the floppy drive, I'm planning to copy all
installation files
on the new harddisk from my desktop. I browsed some online stores but I cant
find the
IDE adapter to be able to connect the 2,5" HD to my desktop. Is this cable
simply a straight 40 pins IDE, but then with power included? Then I wouldnt
mind making one myself.

3) Has anyone build a power adapter for a car battery and can share some
thoughts about it? Like what does it really need to run properly: the
adapter says 15V, but can it do with 12V for example?

4) The current bios is v6.5, does upgrading bring any significant
improvements of any kind?

5) Are memory upgrades still available and under what name do they go by?

Thanks alot in advance,

Steven
