Not really ... the lid isn't *quite* as stiff as the 50/70 but it certainly 
doesn't have any free play in it.

Yup it's normal and no I've not found any way of fixing it ... the buttons are 
also a lot stiffer you may have noticed.

Well the slots and USB port won't run unless you've plugged external power into 
the EPR. I can't quite remember but I *think* you also need to install 
drivers ... certainly Windows does treat the L100's EPR as a proper docking 
station, not like how the L50/70 does things.

You can follow the instructions at www.fixup.net to make a connector out of a 2 
pin header (the sort you use to connect the HDD light to your motherboard for 
instance). I've been using 2 of them, one on my auto/air adapter and one on a 
$20USD power supply and they've been fine ...

Nope ... and in fact the L100 screen I have on LOWEST brightness is brighter 
than my old L50 with the screen on the HIGHEST setting. This is before applying 
any screen films.

I'd go reformat it and install it again ... you really want to run this thing 
with the proper drivers.
