The only key I have trouble getting is the back slash, but I don't really need it that 
much so haven't checked into an settings that could remap a key to it.

Everything on the machine works with English W98 (I think SE).  All but camera and 
remote work with W2K, but had to work hard to get the smart media reader to work with 
W2k.  I think David Hettel's link to ratoc has the info to get that working, I had to 
use a scsi driver and it wouldn't install directly.

And with W2K you can get the camera to work with Video Capturix, but not the "snap" 
button on the pc that operates the camera.  You have to use the Video Capturix 
software to operate the camera.

I get the digest, so a bit slow to respond.  I really like the ff1100v, but it is a 
bit slow by today's standards.  I take it on trips to store digital pics and connect 
using dialup, not much else.

Do you remember where you found the software to deal
with the Japanese language drivers?
