The headers from ebay say not to cache content...

Cache-Control: max-age=0
....
Cache-Control: private
Pragma: no-cache
.....
(from liveheaders in firefox).

I have no recollection as to whether ie 6 honours these (I recall some 
difficulties in preventing IE caching in earlier versions) but would suspect 
ebay would prefer the content caching was kept to a minimum for both the latest 
auction information and advertising inserts.

I'm not using my libretto much these days, but my other laptop is using firefox 
+ fasterfox - I get mixed results for this but my overall perception is 
improved performance.
