I have tried many sampling rates. And all will play fine outside of
Director but not inside a Director project. The only sound that plays
correctly is the one edited in the Quicktime movie.

I have a test out to them now to see if the sound will play by using
Macromix as the default.
You should also check whether YOUR default sound device in your
> Director prefs is Macromix or Direct sound, as Director sets the device on

I thought this was set on the "startmovie" lingo script. I don't know of a
setting. Could you give me more direction on this? Also, Macromix can't be
a solution if I also have Quicktime with sound could it?
