The silence on this thread perhaps indicates that linphone can't handle this at present? Meanwhile I have made more attempts and experiments, and I seem to have partially succeeded. Somehow, the linphone.db on the target machine has a "sip_address" table that contains my contacts. linphone is still refusing to read friends.db. I wonder whether Desktop 5.3.0 has stopped using friends.db? But when I click on the Contacts icon, and am presented with the "search contact" box, no contacts are found. In contrast, typing into the top "Search contact, start a call...." box, my contacts are found. Is this a bug in linphone, or an artifact of the way I tried to install linphone on the new machine? But at least I can now use my previous 104 contacts! I didn't say before that this was on linux (devuan and debian) although I though that would be obvious from the file names. ael _______________________________________________ Linphone-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/linphone-users
