I don't see that message on my SLES10 SP1 installs. Not sure why you're
getting it. Here's what I see:
qeth: Device 0.0.0700/0.0.0701/0.0.0702 is a Guest LAN QDIO card (level: V519)
with link type GuestLAN QDIO (portname: None)
qeth: Hardware IP fragmentation not supported on eth0
qeth: VLAN enabled
qeth: Multicast enabled
qeth: IPV6 enabled
qeth: Broadcast enabled
qeth: Using SW checksumming on eth0.
qeth: Outbound TSO not supported on eth0

Given that the very next thing is that the stage2 installer gets copied to your
system, I would agree with the assessment that your change to the ramdisk=
kernel parm should not be made. Leave it at the default. It's what everyone
tests with, so it's what is known to work. Over and above that, what is the
amount of virtual storage defined for the guest? If it's less than 512MB, that
needs to be changed as well.

Whether it is or not, SLES10 SP1 is no longer supported. Don't use it.

To me, this is more worrisome than your immediate problem. That shouldn't be
happening, and should be resolved.
