I have reset OSA ports by using the OSA Advanced Facilities dialog in the HMC. It takes about 15 minutes for the port to actually reset after you hit enter though. IBM Hardware Support walked me through it the first time and warned me to be patient for the actual reset. The HMC Operations Guide has the path to this function.
