The combination of Oracle DB software and OCFS2 on Intel or SPARC is what they (Oracle) are pushing to support, and what they are telling us is that they do not intend to support the database on versions of OCFS that they do not support and issue. Since none of us are running that, that's a problem. I think there's two issues here: who maintains OCFS and what configurations Oracle supports. Mark/Novell may be able to address the former, but it is not clear what is possible if item b remains true. I'm not trying to say Novell can't do it, but I would not underestimate Oracle's need to be opportunistic. -- db ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@vm.marist.edu with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/
