Not everyone lives in the same world as you do when it comes to hardware and software acquisition/retirement. I just know, as David pointed out, that there are a lot of shops out there that aren't running current hardware, and feel even further marginalized every time the minimum supported levels go up. I don't like adding to their woes if it can be avoided.
