See my later messages. The hang occurs in a simple "in" instruction -
which does not seem to be kernel-related, or SMP related, or options
related or whatever. Just the IO bus or so. :-(
Going to tune all the IO waiting stuff to the crawling positions, maybe
that helps... (don't think so, but nevertheless...)
