I don't know what you've tried, but I'd get it down to as bare bones as
you can -- remove the NIC and any cards you don't need. Don't use the
HPT controller (if you are), at least until you get over the hump. I
you have more than 1 stick of RAM, try it with just one, and try it in
different slots. Move the video card. Try 'noapic' boot option -- this
occasionally solves problems. I would guess it is hardware related --
maybe a conflict somewhere.
