The Data Fellows (actually F-Secure; I was corrected in another post) version
has been around for quite a while AFAIK. The versions running with
cygwin have
been around for a few years as well. The biggest hassle has been getting
sshd to
start up as a service on system boot. MS's srvany from the NT Resource Kit
lets you do this on NT4, but W2K seems a bit trickier.
BTW, I was also corrected about the export restrictions. F-Secure is a Finnish
company, so there are no export restrictions.

Agreed, but there's no need for tunneling X for remote admin. Once you
get very far into double figures you automate as much as you possibly
can :-)

The Windows ports actually happened a good while back, and do indeed
allow basic scripted remote admin, especially if used in conjunction
with a full Cygwin install. Windows is much easier to administer in
small numbers using the GUI, but for large numbers of boxes the more
automation the better. Unfortunately, documentation on the command-line
Windows admin tools is not available by typing 'man <command>', but
some of the Unix commands are obscure to the uninitiated as well.
Windows is weaker than Unix in many areas, but better in others, so
there are lots of NT Workstation boxes around...
I'd rather have good remote admin tools no matter what I'm supporting.
Ssh used in conjunction with sup or rsync is remarkably effective.

All too easy:

Here is the start of Constituion of the United States of America,
Notice that the site is the National Archives and Records Administration
(United States federal government)

http://www.nara.gov/exhall/charters/constitution/constitution.html
Go to the bottom, and you will find a link to "Bill of Rights"

http://www.nara.gov/exhall/charters/billrights/billmain.html

You will find a link, "the preamble"
http://www.nara.gov/exhall/charters/billrights/preamble.html

[The pre-amble notes that the Bill of Rights (Amendments 1-10) were
properly ratified by Congress according to the Amendment process described
within the original Constitution, and that the Amendments will become
binding as soon as the legislatures of the several states (13 at that
time) ratify these same amendments. Only 3/4 of the states legislatures
need ratify a proposal for it to become an Amendment. In the case of
Amendments 1-10, 100% of the states ratified the proposed Amendments,
and thus, they became actual Amendments to the Constitution of the
United States.]

THE PREAMBLE TO THE BILL OF RIGHTS

                             Congress of the United States
begun and held at the City of New-York, on
Wednesday the fourth of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine.

The Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of
their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to
prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further
declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as
extending the ground of public confidence in the Government,
will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States of America, in Congress assembled, two thirds of both Houses
concurring, that the following Articles be proposed to the
Legislatures of the several States as amendments to the Constitution
of the United States, all, or any of which articles, when ratified
by three fourths of the said Legislatures, to be valid to all
intents and purposes, as part of the said Constitution; viz.

Articles in addition to, and Amendment of the Constitution of the
United States of America, proposed by Congress and ratified by the
Legislatures of the several States, pursuant to the fifth Article
        of the original Constitution.

>From there, click on the link "Amendments 1-10"

http://www.nara.gov/exhall/charters/billrights/billrights.html

Here, you will find the following:

        Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
                                                  ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This means that I can write or state any opinion I damn well please,
and that Congress can do nothing about it. I can write "President
Bush is a traitor" and nothing can be done about it; in fact, I
said precisely that about President Clinton on numerous occasions,
for his dealings with the Communist Chinese, the illegal campaign
contributions made by Chinese Communist agents, and the subsequent
(presidential) Executive Order to relax counter-espionage security
at key US nuclear weapons research facilities which allowed the
agents of the Communist Chinese government to steal warhead designs.

Furthermore, case law in the Supreme Court of the United States of
America has consistantly upheld that any and all personal freedoms
listed in the Bill of Rights prohibit not only the federal Congress
from enacting laws which violate those rights, but that ANY governmental
body within the United States must *ALSO* observe those rights.

Therefore, not only can the US Congress not pass any law abridging
my freedom of speech, but that the State of Michigan may not do
so, nor the country board where I live, nor the city which I live in.

Therefore, my .sig is protected by the Constitution of the United
States.

If you wish to killfile me, you are free to do so.

But you *CANNOT* legally make me shut up.
And the more you try, the more I will deliberately annoy you.

Hi all,

I am about to start a game project for linux and have the following
problem:
All the code in the game will be open source, but the guy that makes the
graphics (drawings) wants to have his copyright for the art he makes. Is
there any way to make this work with the GPL license? Or should I choose a
different license?

Thank you for any help

Best regards

Ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

You think making silicon wafers with latice defects far enough apart
for at least a few useful chips out of every slice is expensive....
diamonds are far worse.

First, you need the 100 Ton/psi press.

I would hold that EVERY one of the habitual criminals running

Or is killing people only *occasionally* some how beneath your

Do you know why? Because they were driving a rental car, which
the muggers realized meant that they were FAR less likely to be
carrying a weapon...because of the rental company's sticker
proclaiming it to be a rental car.

For a short while, muggers totally avoided anybody who appeared
to be a Florida resident in favor of tourists, because they were
(rightfully) pissing their pants over the thought of trying to
roll over an armed Floridian...so...they naturally went after
the UNARMED tourists.

Then the Florida legislature passed a law allowing tourists to
rent handguns from rental car companies, and the attacks against
tourists dropped. Additionally, the rental companies removed the
"rental car" stickers from their vehicles.

Attacks against tourists then dropped fell to the same low
post-legal-concealed-carry rates that the non-tourists in
Florida were already enjoying.

L: "meow" is yet another anonymous coward who does nothing
but write stupid nonsense about his intellectual superiors.

K: Truth in advertising:
Left Wing Extremists Charles Schumer and Donna Shelala,
        Black Seperatist Anti-Semite Louis Farrakan,
        Special Interest Sierra Club,
        Anarchist Members of the ACLU
Left Wing Corporate Extremist Ted Turner
The Drunken Woman Killer Ted Kennedy
        Grass Roots Pro-Gun movement,

J: Other knee_jerk reactionaries: billh, david casey, redc1c4,
The retarded sisters: Raunchy (rauni) and Anencephielle (Enielle),
also known as old hags who've hit the wall....

I: Loren Petrich's 2-week stubborn refusal to respond to the
challenge to describe even one philosophical difference
between himself and the communists demonstrates that, in fact,
Loren Petrich is a COMMUNIST ***hole

H: "Having found not one single carbon monoxide leak on the entire
premises, it is my belief, and Willard concurs, that the reason
you folks feel listless and disoriented is simply because
    you are lazy, stupid people"

G: Knackos...you're a retard.

F: Unit_4's "Kook hunt" reminds me of "Jimmy Baker's" harangues against
adultery while concurrently committing adultery with Tammy Hahn.

E: Jet is not worthy of the time to compose a response until
   her behavior improves.

D: Jet Silverman now follows me from newgroup to newsgroup
   ...despite (C) above.

C: Jet Silverman claims to have killfiled me.

B: Jet Silverman plays the fool and spews out nonsense as a
method of sidetracking discussions which are headed in a
   direction that she doesn't like.

A: The wise man is mocked by fools.
