I have to agree with Aaron here (did I just say that?)... yeah I don't
want to spend 12 hours a day at work. But I'm not going to go around
whining if I get passed up for a raise/promotion. If I really want it,
I'll do what's necessary... or maybe I'll decide that I'd rather spend
my life enjoying the moment.
Still, *modern* feminism is about whining and not really accepting
responsibility for your actions. In the capitalist system you're worth
what you negotiate... and we're at a point in time where women do not
face widespread discrimination. There may be exceptions to the rule but
by and large that's the truth.
The men and women I see for the most part deserve what they are getting.
Actually there was a case at my company where a guy was fired because he
did what his female supervisor wanted. He did what she told him to do,
she was an incompetent (who among other things wanted us to flush the
operating system from the mainframe I work on... idiot) and what he did
caused damage on the client's computer. She blamed him because he was a
Puerta Rican, and she knew she could get away with it.

The fact that OE allows JavaScript and .vbs by default is ungodly
shortsighted on MS's part. There was a post about a month ago (from
someone else named Brent) that was mass-posted and it had malicious JS
code in it. Being that I use NS mail I was not affected but those using
OE were annoyed to know end (I think it kept making dialog boxes come up
one after the other).

Previously the winvocate mantra was: "Windows is soooo good, why would I
not pay for it?"
... which made kinda sense; after all, they already _had_ paid for it,
so why not rationalise your faux pas.
In the past two or three days I've come at least twice across posts
which essentially say: "OK, so Windows is too expensive, let's pirate
the crap out of it. It's okay, because the corporate sharks pay for us
pirates anyway".
... which is weird. Has Windows suddenly become less than worth its
price? Has Microsoft decided to take out some precious features so that
suddenly Windows has become less valuable?
Or is this how winvocates perceive free software?
It's kinda like certain people (with initials CM) who go around the
newsgroups for _years_, touting Windows 9x as God's Gift To the
Community, and then suddenly changing their tune to: "Well, Windows 95
was crap, obviously; and NT wasn't too good either. But Win2k... now
that's the best operating system ever".
You gotta laugh, eh?
