Yes. You either just "log off", which closes the programs or from that same
logoff screen just choose "switch user".

You can't install 99.9% of all programs written for the linux platform in
one click like you can in Windows. You can't walk in to any store and buy a
piece of hardware and assume it will work with your OS. These alone,  are
time savers that make the price worth it.

What? open up either gnorpm or kpackager, then install from there.  As for
the log out, yes, it does log out, however, you can save your session.

I recall 'talk' of great stability with every new Windows
OS, but as history has shown again and again, Ms still
haven't delivered on this promise.

If you think any KDE app is fast, try any Linux GUI app under a light weight
window manager!
