Dear List(eners),
currently I am using xfmail as a mail program sending all the mails via
sendmail to my mailprovider. Xfmail is calling sendmail via
/usr/sbin/sendmail -i -ODeliveryMode=deferred
which works perfect for me. However, I would like to try mailing with the
Netscape messenger. There I have to choose "SMTP" as the protocol and have to
give a hostname I want to send all mail to - if I give the localhost (because I
still would like to spool any mail rather than generating internettraffic for
each and every mail I send) the messenger says "cannot contact to the SMTP
server" What do I have to do to set up an SMTP-server on my local host? Can
anybody recommend me some literature, faqs whatever?

if you really want to see the pictures above - use some font
with constant spacing like courier! :-)
