Is there anything special I need to do when I make the kernel (besides
disabling Angel) to get it to work with JD's modified bootldr? I have
tried downloading and flashing several different kernels, but none seem
to ever work. I go through the following steps:
boot> load kernel
ready for xmodem download..
boot> save kernel
Saving flash kernel...
totalPackets=00001000
H.%.....É.Ñ¥µ...½.Ñ5).½..±½....ÉɽÉ....½ÉÑ¥...5).½½Ñù.ÿ
boot> boot
booting flash...
boot_magic=5A5ABEEF
kernel_image_first_word=EA000085
copying NetBSD kernel ... done
done!
Jumping to 0xF0000020..
UNDF
F0000030
283C90B0
and then it just stops. 2 things that I was wondering about with the
above process: When I flash the kernel after downloading it, are those
weird characters supposed to be printed out? Also, I noticed that it
was "copying NetBSD kernel..." ... is this just a leftover from
bootldr's original days, or is something configured wrong?
Thanks
-Mike
