but i have configured exim with just that! but fetchmail returns with
an error saying that "SMTP listener doesn't like recipient address
akr@localhost". 

i don't understand why fetchmail (with which i just want to 'fetch' my
mail) has to talk to SMTP. i want it talk to POP3, give my password
and retrieve mail.

ps: anyone using fetchmail successfully, with a non vsnl pop server?
