my mta is exim 3.14. if i try "mail akr@localhost", everything works
like a charm, and yet no email arrives for me.  so this is the main
problem i guess.

btw, i tried using fetchmailconf with novice level, and it did not
have any setting for "usr@remotesite (there) is actually
user@localhost (here)" to be put in .fetchmailrc.

now i know why a whole magnum opus has been written around
fetchmail. (anyone got an indian edition hardcopy of the cathedral and
the bazaar, written by author of fetchmail?)
