Hi Vipin
I am using an mtnl account and their nameservers are
203.94.243.70 Secondary ns2.mtnl.net.in
203.94.227.70 Primary ns1.mtnl.net.in
I have given the domain names because they are easier to remember in case when I
forget the ip's (after a disk format ). There is one way through which I sometimes get
the IP addresses for nameserver. It mostly works. Here is how
If you remember just any ip address(xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) give the command
# traceroute xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
And your nameserver is the first or second computer in the route . It is a strange
way, but ususally works for me.
