Hi Qasim,
I have an MTNL account too.

try entering the command
      nslookup -query=ns mtnl.net.in

I got the following result from the above command.

mtnl.net.in nameserver = mumbai1.mtnl.net.in
mtnl.net.in nameserver = mumbai3.mtnl.net.in
mtnl.net.in nameserver = delhi1.mtnl.net.in
mtnl.net.in nameserver = delhi3.mtnl.net.in
mumbai1.mtnl.net.in internet address = 203.94.227.51
mumbai3.mtnl.net.in internet address = 203.94.227.53
delhi1.mtnl.net.in internet address = 203.94.243.51
delhi3.mtnl.net.in internet address = 203.94.243.53

Even though I have an MTNL account, I have the VSNL namservers in my
resolv.conf for the past few months. No problems. Nameservers don't have
authentication(generally). Otherwise it would be very difficult to use
DNS at all.
