Subject: A challenging question
Hello once again. I posted this about a month ago(maybe longer) and was
wondering if anyone had some suggestions yet.
I would like to be able to have my linux box connect diald ppp0(via
diald is fine, so all it would take is a ping or something) upon being
called with a normal telephone. It's not a voice modem, so what I was
thinking is similar to how mgetty can be set up: say 2 calls in 30 seconds
would prompt it. That's what I need, but I have no idea as to how to do it.
I somehow need a script that will ping an ip, which brings up the link,
after hearing 2 calls on the modem within 30 seconds. I have no programming
experience, but is there a program that could be retrofited(mgetty?) to
provide such functionality?
Please make sure you cc any replies to [EMAIL PROTECTED] so I can be sure
to see them.
Thanks.
