Does MTD allow access to a DOS formatted partition under flash?

With ThinLinux I attempt to make only a small set of demands from the boot
device. Specifically that your BIOS can boot DOS from it and we can replace
the boot sector. Everything else is simply stored as gzipped tar files on
the DOS filesystem. We boot and run from a RAM disk and only have the boot
device mounted after boot for configuration backup.

I have put together a provisional boot disk that should install on a board
with M-Systems DOC if it conforms to the above assumptions. I.e. that you
can boot and run DOS from the DOC.

If anyone would like to test it they can send me email.
