The mail subject was "Max Xfer at 9k6 Half Duplex!" Yes am talking half
duplex.
I find the best way to test a link is with the following.
ping -c7 -l6 -s472 -i5 host
Returns the following stats;
8 packets transmitted, 8 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 4885.4/6671.0/8456.8 ms
Repeat that xx times, then you can see how it works.
Remember i use 512 as MTU so you would be able to do something like;
ping -c12 -l11 -s216 -i5 host
Becarefull not to send to many packets at a time, otherwise if maxkeyup
expires packets will be lost, and give a false impression.
Remember another thing i said, we use XTAL radios, switching time is around
10mS.
Make sure the devation is set correctly.
