The mail subject was "Max Xfer at 9k6 Half Duplex!" Yes  am talking half
duplex.

I find the best way to test a link is with the following.

ping -c7 -l6 -s472 -i5 host
Returns the following stats;
8 packets transmitted, 8 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 4885.4/6671.0/8456.8 ms
Repeat that xx times, then you can see how it works.

Remember i use 512 as MTU so you would be able to do something like;

ping -c12 -l11 -s216 -i5 host

Becarefull not to send to many packets at a time, otherwise if maxkeyup
expires packets will be lost, and give a false impression.

Remember another thing i said, we use XTAL radios, switching time is around
10mS.
Make sure the devation is set correctly.
