Check your local delivery transport in your mail server.  Your imap server
wont do this normally.

Have you configured it properly?  Very likely, postfix is delivering to
/var/mail and qpopper is trying to look in /var/spool/mail

All these are pretty good.  As for qpopper download qpopper 4 (the latest
one).  Previous ones have quite a few bugs.
