Hello all,

On debian potato 2.2 r5, by default xfree version is 3.3.6, which
doesnt support i810 mobo by default. Intel provides a driver called
agpgart.o. Which I have installed, ( after racking my brain for 3 days
on its makefile )
then ran xf86config. And in the section "Device" section of XF86Config
file I
entered -
Identifier "i810"
Driver "i810"
as instructed at
http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/hardware/i810intel.html.
( followed the instructio to book )
But on startx as root it says
exec: of /usr/bin/x11/XF86_SVGA failed
X11TransUNIXSocket error
xinit: unable to connect to X server error 111

or something like this.

Now I am stuck, I think it has something to do with my configuration.
I would be grateful if somebody shades some light on this mistery.
No I dont have resources to download Xfree 4.1x.

Thanks

Sachin
