I have not checked out the site referred to in the first post. But, the
stock debian (2.2) ships with X 3.3.6 which _if_ I remember correctly,
does not support i810 chipsets. My advice would be to download X 4.x
debs for potato from
http://people.debian.org/~cpbotha
I have used those debs succesfully. Just checked out the above address
and you can find the packages in the directory x410_potato.
