Very true and applicable to all open source and, or GNU environments, sharing any achievement, knowledge and source pays which we could never have learned at any institution though howsoever advanced it might have
been. And... practical knowledge is always perfect!

That is incorrect. You face two different problems with two different programs
and learn a great bit about two different programming cultures. It is an
enriching experience..
