Ok, you mean localhost:2525 to remotehost:25?
Yes
Actually in staticky.com the relaying is allowed *only* for 127.0.0.1 i.e. 127.0.0.1:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""
Oh ok - then instead of mail.staticky.com or whatever make it explicitly 127.0.0.1 in that line above.
I still have very strong *practical* objections to this. If this is OT here maybe you would like to discuss this off-list or we can continue here, provided you don't get angry quicky :)
I find that it works very very well for me ...
Are you familar with qmail. Can I talk in qmail language?
Talk away - I hate it, but I do have to run a rather large qmail shop sometimes (the backend for our 30 million users is all qmail, frontend is postfix though, thank god)
No I asked cos' you talk in millions and dollars, too much for a middle class sys. adm. :)
I get a decent salary but nothing like millions of dollars.
The "lower middle class sysadmin" story is here - http://lists.jammed.com/politech/2002/07/0036.html
"he" .. ok now I get the whole issue. Too bad you have a male CTO. Let him lose business because he brain washes his middle class sys. admin. into doing things which should not be done.
I think the only females we have are a lot of extremely talented people in web design, then quite a few in customer support, HR, finance etc.
But seriously, it is great knowing a fellow Indian in large mail business (though his practice of helo filtering sucks, heehheheeheheh, I just cannot resist)
It gives me near zero false positives - but I don't think you understood it fully.
