Ok, Tried 2.2.13-pre4 + patch-2.2.12-irda3 + irda-utils-0.9.4.

I can still use IrDA only on a ThinkPad 760EL. (I hope to get the Belkin
working soon enough and there is another dongle on the way).

Tried these things:
Pilot sync: I'm trying that directly on /dev/ircomm0 used againd a palm-IIIx
with the palm IR patch and IrLink 1.2 (eval package) from IsComplete.
With his combination I could not make a connection since Linux 2.2.12-pre
(latest Alan's patch before the formal 2.2.12). It worked fine with
2.2.12-pre. Now I can make a connection and start the hot sync but occasionally
get a "weird packet" message and the sync dies before it's complete.

Connection to camera: I'm trying to initiate an IrTran-P connection to a
JVS GC-S1 camera (trying both IrDA sockets and /dev/ircomm). Got a complete
freeze once and a kernel panic once (but I gig not take the
addresses... I'll try to get back to that later).

irda-utils-0.9.4 : It's trying to compile in gnobex before it installs
libirda and libobex (with the respective header files). It fails for me.
It may compile/link against the wrong stuff if you have previous installation
of these libraries.
