Hi,

I have noticed that many people are frustrated about the problems with
using IrOBEX with Linux-IrDA. I just want to say that OBEX is still in
development, but the speed is very high at this moment, and the "old" code
in irda-utils is sort of obsolete. I don't think any of the developers are
going to fix those problems now.

OBEX is now being developed by two different teams. One in continuing the C
version, while the other is reimpl. OBEX in Python. I'm currently involved
in both, but most of my effort goes into the Python version. This code is
working now, and I hope to make a release as soon as possible. We had our
first successful transfer from a GNOME base GUI today!

So, please wait a few more weeks, and I promise you that OBEX will work OK
with Linux-IrDA!
