Sure. I have a directory on my PC called ~/music/feeds into which
all of the podcasts I listen to conveniently download themselves,
and using cron-magic, subsequently are removed after a couple of
weeks.

I'd like ideally to have the Karma automatically sync up to this
directory, so whenever it was plugged in the new podcasts were
downloaded to the Karma, and the old ones would be removed, as they
would longer exist in ~/music/feeds

In a regular filesystem rsync should do this, with the --delete
flag. However, as I understand it, the directory structure for
source and destination has to be the same for rsync (that's how it's
designed, after all), whereas the directory structure given by
LKarmaFS would necessarily be different to ~/music/feeds

So, what it boils down to, basically, is LKarmaFS could be persuaded
to keep a specific folder of files not sorted into directories
according to their metadata, but just as they were copied, I think I
could use rsync to synchronise my podcast directory with the Karma.
Which would be cool.

Hopefully I'm overlooking something which would make this simpler
(other than using banshee or something, 'cos that's no fun).

To my (limited) knowledge using rsync locally doesn't use any
particularly advanced filesystem features, but by default just
compares the file size & date (or optionally a checksum of some
description) to do its stuff.

Ooh, what are you planning to work on?
