You are right in the desciption of these awfull winmmodems, but I am
not sure that the Mwave is a winmodem.  I am sure that it does not
react as a normal modem and that special software is required, but
if i remember correctly that was software downloaded into the modem
card and not software driving that card. 

Maybe a small difference since that card still does not work under
linux, but it might be possible to do the pnp soundcard trick and
use a ( simple ) special driver.

Ich bin nicht sicher das der mwave karte ein win-modem is, aba der
Schreiber hat recht das der mwave night reagiert wie ein normale
modem. Er ist noch kein treiber for dies karte.

Diese frage wird fast monthlig gestelt. Vielleight solte er in ein
FAQ kommen.
