What would be the correct wiring be?
I currently use:
for 10bt and 100bt
o/w 1 ----------- 1 o/w
o 2 ----------- 2 o
g/w 3 ----------- 3 g/w
b 4 ----------- 4 b
b/w 5 ----------- 5 b/w
g 6 ----------- 6 g
br/w 7 ----------- 7 br/w
br 8 ----------- 8 br
cross over for 10bt
o/w 1 ----------- 1 g/w
o 2 ----------- 2 g
g/w 3 ----------- 3 o/w
b 4 ----------- 4 b
b/w 5 ----------- 5 b/w
g 6 ----------- 6 o
br/w 7 ----------- 7 br/w
br 8 ----------- 8 br
so would 100bt cross over be:
o/w 1 ----------- 1 g/w
o 2 ----------- 2 g
g/w 3 ----------- 3 o/w
b 4 ----------- 4 br
b/w 5 ----------- 5 br/w
g 6 ----------- 6 o
br/w 7 ----------- 7 b/w
br 8 ----------- 8 b
If so I still suggest forcing the NICs to 10Mbs, then if they talk you would
know it is the cable.
