OK Ray, you are right. The kernel was working of course, some services were OK
( I could work with StarOffice for example, call smaller programs etc. ) but
some important services did not work, like the ISDN i4l services or the
ethernet, which I need to comunicate with my server. As an example, I
configured ( make menuconfig ) module support for "ne2k-pci.o", that is the
module for my ethernet card. After booting, I got the message
"/lib/modules/2.2.18/net/ne2k-pci.o: init_module:Device or resource busy" That
was the reason I assumed that rc.config had already started this service or
viceversa, rc.config tries to start it after the kernel did it or so ?
