I've been reading all the helpful replies to my problem and found some
help in a FAQ file but still haven't succeeded in booting it up. I
tried reinstalling it into a clean empty partition located closer to
the front of my hard drive and get the hint that it should be either
hda1, hda4, hdb1, hdb2 <hdb5, hdb6, hdb7, hdb8, hdb9>. The hda1 & hda4
return, "kernel panic", hdb1 returns, "unable to open an intitial
console" and from hdb2 & higher, "attempt to access beyond end of
device" and "kernel panic".
Is there something wrong with my downloaded copy, my system, or is it
still something I'm doing wrong??
