Howdy:
Is your local dial tone what the modem expects ?
Is your modem to phone company cord plugged into 'line' or 'telephone' ?
Is your telephone plugged into the modem 'telephone' socket ?
When your modem goes 'off hook' does your telephone go 'dead' ?
