First there is no such thing as the D: drive. There are
partitions. The letter: convention is used by m$ to name a given
partition. It means that the first primary partition that is dos/win
formated is the C: drive. Than the next partition
(primary/extended-logical) is the D: drive and so on. Else, in a way I
run windoze on that so called D: drive. With other words my windoze boots
happily from /dev/hda2.
