Thanks to everybody who replied...I got a hold of that
list, and....it lists the Motorola ModemSurfer 56k internal plug'npray
that is the 'brother' of my VoiceSurfer...so...that means my *^%*& modem
should work...so...gotta invest a few more days at it....if I can.I fix
it...I'll go buy a USR and to hell with Motorola :)
BTW...I *am* the local shop :) I build puters, and am checking
into Linux because I belive that the option of pre-installed Linux should
be given to my clients...it's a damn nice OS....but...before I offer them,
I should be able to, at the very least, install the damn thing :) I got
everything working in my system now (including the soundcard...and I have
no clue how that happened...it just started working while I was messing
with the modem :) except for the modem...but...since I am usually the one
who chooses brands here...I can sell USR or AOpen or whatever works with
Linux, instead of the Motorola VoiceSurfers I've been offering :)
Arioshi ba and thanks :)
