hi richard, glad to have you back with us.` :)
thanx for the response, but i guess i didn't explain well enough.
i was wondering if i could get my machine to call me at work
and play a sound file to let me know it was going to sign on to
my isp and get my mail. i sometimes use my dial-up at work
and would get a nasty email from my isp if i had two connections
at the same time with my one account. it was just a thought i
had while getting my mail filtering/forwarding to my cell phone
scheme underway. don't put a lot of effort into this one, i can
easily just set my watch to ring at 11:30 to remind me not to
be online while cron activates the mail thingy. i was just real
curious to know if it was possible and how difficult.
thanx again.
