Well, Caldera's email support isn't exactly jumping in
response so here I am!
I just install OpenLinux 2.2(.5) and am having trouble
getting the modem to connect using kppp. The program
initializes and then just tries to "adjust speaker
volume" forever (or until it times out). I have played
with the pre- and post-init settings (as well as
everything else I could think of) without success. I
believe the modem (a 56K, PCMCIA card in my laptop) is
compatible because I successfully connected ONCE on a
previous installation. Foolish me, I reinstalled and
now it won't work.
Suggestions much appreciated.
A true newbie, but eager to leave Windows behind,
