Looks like there is a config problem.  The first thing that I would try
would be to load up `XF86Config` as root, under a console, there where be a
tab in the upper left hand corner for keyboard config, go there a config the
keyboard.  Basically just make sure you have the right type and interface
for your keyboard selected.

Try that, if it doesn't work, never speak of this again and burn this email.
Seriously, if it doesn't work print this email out and then burn it.  Then
delete it from your computer.
