Actually I used to have slow netscape and it was due to a slow machine I
discovered that while I thought I had 128M of ram some of the sims were
actually dead and swap is really slow.
But are you running some kind of service on your machine?
X and netscape really take up lots of system resources so they should only
be used when necessary.
