I dont have RAID but i have had my BP6 for about the same time. I had just
occational lockups at tbe beginning. But with the ide patches
2.2.14.20000113 and ide.2.2.14.20000115 I got several locks every
day.

Many of the lockups with the 20000113 - 20000115 patches printed "dma
timeout" ( or something like that ) or "hde lost interrupt" to the console
before it froze.

Then I remembered the posting about some ix86 patches in pre4-2.3.40, so I
installed the pre2.3.42-2 kernel and now the box have been running for 15
ours. I havent stressed it very hard though, but it survived the updatedb
at 04:02.

BTW

I had a look in the 2.3.41-3 patch. There is many smp patches for spark.
Does someone know how well smp work on other plattforms. Maybe it is that
bp6 is cheap and have many users that there is many error reports?
