Distribution doesn't matter... it's all about the kernel... If you have
already used Slackware, get Slackware 4.0 from http://www.cdrom.com and install
the newest 2.2.x kernel on it (currently 2.2.10). You really don't want to use
the 2.0.x kernels anymore for SMP...
