Some other list member posted regarding recompiling. Maybe that is the
answer. I have trouble sometimes with kernel upgrades from our vendor and
what uname -r says. I think there is a setting in a header file that
governs "minor" version changes. Re-compiling from fresh source seems to
be the way to go.
