Root is mounted read-only upon boot, and hotplug running at that time does not work if it attempts to write or create files. We did this before and had scores of users asking why some device does not work after reboot, but works if USB cable is removed and plugged back. -- Pete _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel
